1/32 Tamiya F-15E Strike Eagle

一ヶ月と10日が過ぎた。完成も間近だ。

It'e been 1month and 10days. It's almost finished.



ウエポンの塗装。GBU-10はMr.カラーのオリーブドラブで。タミヤの水性オリーブドラブはいいつや消しとなるが、エナメルウオッシングすると黒褐色に変色してしまい、エナメルシンナーでも取れなくなるので要注意。その他XF-19も同じ。
Use Mr. Color 38 Olive Drab for GBU-10. Although Tamiya's acrylic XF-62 is good flat solution, it turn into dark color if you use black enamel over it for wash. Be aware that you can not remove enamels completely. XF-19 as well.
アルクラッドのカッパーをスプレー

Nice Alclad II copper.
ラック金具にはタミヤのチタンシルバーがきれい。

Hand-paint Tamiya's enamel Titanium silver for rack.
マニュアルでは塗装指示であるが、これはデカールのきれっぱしが一番。

Black paint is instructed in manual, although it's much better to use decals.
その他もろもろの塗装。キャノピーバーにはハセガワの1/48ウエポンセットのデカールを適当に貼り付けると感じが出る。

Paint other tools. It's nice if use some decals from 1/48 Hasegawa's weapon set.
このキット2番目の欠点。上部の繋ぎ目が合わない！

This is second biggest defect of this kit. A large gap in the upper part of joint between nose and body.
気合を入れて修正。タミヤパテをグンゼのMr.カラーシンナーで溶いて、隙間に流し込む。

Let's do it! Thin Tamiya's putty with Gunze's Mr.Thinner. Pour it into the gap.
右側はもっと悲惨

This side is much worse!
