1/16タイガー1を組み立てた時にはこの製品は存在していなく、いつかディテールアップしてやろうと思って買っておいた物。1/16サイズタイガー用のエッチング製品は世の中にこれしかない。

This nice photoetch set for Tamiya 1/16 Tiger 1 was released just after I completed my Tiger 1. I originally bought it for a future refurbishment of the Tiger 1, but I decided to utilize some of parts for the King Tiger. At the time of writing this article, nobody makes a photoetch set for the King Tiger!
前部フェンダーカバーの留め金。ABERエッチング部品の枠を切り取り針金で曲げたもの。

The hinges for the front fender are made from left over of photoetch parts. Bend over a piece of brass rod.
ABERのハンマー留め金は可動！しかし面倒なので瞬間止め。
変速機カバーフックとハッチストッパーはプラ板から自作。

Clamps for the sledgehammer are from ABER, are very nice and actually work. But I used super glue to secure it, because it too tiny!
I made the lockback and the hook for the hatch from Evergreen card.

ABERのセットにも付属しているが、足りないのでHob Bitsのナット、ボルトなどを利用。

ABER set includes a dozen small bolts. I used Hob Bits nuts and bolts for extras. They look like the same bolts as in the ABER set.

Hob Bits' bolts. Base plate was made from Evergreen card. Weld marks made by adding Mr. Putty.
エバーグリーン平材に縦に穴を５つ開け、２つに割るとこのようになる。

To make the bracket for the track rope, drill five holes in a strip of Evergreen thick card, then cut it in half. You can make a nice rope holder.
ナット取り付け棒はHob Bitsの長いボルトの頭を切ったもの。頭はフェンダー止めに。

I cut some of the bolts up and used the heads on the side skirts. I used the screw parts on the track rope holders.
